Graphic/Web Designer, System Administrator, Programmer, Community Manager, Texture Artist
Writing has been something that I never really intended to do - and in some sense, never really considered a marketable skill. However, through my time operating online communities and developing software, I've ended up doing more than my fair share of writing. I've written announcement posts, changelogs, documentation, wiki pages, and much more.
Throughout my time operating Chaotic United and Elaztek Studios, I've written a great deal of announcement posts. These are typically created to provide details to users about upcoming changes, new features, and other such things. More often than not, I tend to go into great detail - particularly when going over new changes or explaining the reasoning behind certain changes.
Note that on both Chaotic United and Elaztek Studios, while I tend to write most of these posts nowadays, I have not written all of them. If you're wondering if I've written a particular post, check to see if the author is "haloman30" - that's me.
Chaotic UnitedOver the years, I've written a number of update changelogs for both Chaotic United and Elaztek Studios. Generally, when I do any sort of update to either website, or any associated services (such as the CU Minecraft server), I'll post a changelog in the Update Notes blog on the respective website.
Chaotic UnitedBoth Chaotic United and Elaztek Studios feature a detailed About section. Each contain different information, but they generally include information about the company/community history, past and current projects and services, and more.
Chaotic UnitedThe Blamite Game Engine has several forms of documentation available. I've written source code documentation in a typical Javadoc-style and generated to HTML using Doxygen, and I've also written end-user guides as well, which act as a sort of user manual for the Blamite Game Engine.
Currently, the Blamite Game Engine is in a pre-alpha state, so most of these forms of documentation are largely incomplete compared to where they'll end up once the engine is more matured. However, there's still plenty available to read on both.
Also listed are the API docs, which are also generated using Doxygen, but are specifically for the Blamite Extension API, which has its own theme better suited for public consumption.
Source-Code DocumentationThe Helpcenters of Chaotic United and Elaztek Studios both act as a sort of knowledge base, containing tutorials, policies, and other miscellaneous information.
On Elaztek Studios, all articles are written by me. On Chaotic United, most articles are written by me - with the exception of the current Tutorials and Guides.
Chaotic UnitedThe Chaotic United Wiki has been an idea going back to 2014. It was originally intended to serve as reference for all the various brands and spinoff communities that emerged from the old Chaotic United over the years, as well as list a number of historically significant users within the community.
In 2023, however, I started work on the new Wiki - which was slated to contain all of that stuff, but also detail all of the custom content that was available within the server. Every item, mob, boss fight, block, and everything in between - whether it was implemented, cut, or planned - would all be included and documented. As of this page's creation, the Wiki is still under construction, however many pages are already introduced and ready to read.
