I've been doing serious texture art since late 2020. I dabbled in it previously, but never did any serious work until later on. Virtually all of my texture work has been done in the context of pixel art, as opposed to a more photorealistic art style.
Currently, the majority of my texture work has been done for Errite Games, on a couple of different projects as you'll see below. Going forward, however, I plan to put most of my work towards Chaotic United's Survival server - as the plan there is to gradually introduce more and more custom content to the server.
Vales of Valtorah was a planned top-down RPG game, using a pixel-art artstyle. I was tasked with created most environment and structure textures for the game.
I created textures for manmade structures, ground cover (such as flowers and grass), as well as interior flooring, wall, and scenery textures. I was also tasked with creating some of the early in-game layouts for some regions.
ViewSome time after I was brought in to work on Vales of Valtorah, the decision was made to work instead on a smaller-scale project. Rather than a top-down RPG, a sidescrolling platformer would be created - geared primarily at mobile devices.
I was tasked with creating backgrounds and terrain tiles for many different environments. I was also tasked with creating some character textures - although I found animating them quite tedious - though some of what I was able to create turned out fairly decent. I also created a few user interface mockups.
ViewChaotic United's MC server continues to slowly but surely push towards the direction of custom content. While current offerings are limited, I've created a fair number of 3D models and textures - for blocks, items, and user interfaces.
