About
I've always been particularly passionate about computers and games. My father put me in front of a screen when i was just 5-6 years old, and I've only grown further fond of them.
In terms of professional skills, I've done a wide range of different stuff - I've done graphic design, web design, software development, and texture art. I've also done a fair bit of server administration and community management.
In my personal life, I spend a lot of time either working on the Blamite Game Engine or working on Chaotic United. These two projects have been my longest-standing projects, and both are a joy to work on.
I'm hugely passionate about archival and historical preservation - and I weave that into almost everything that I do. I didn't originally create Chaotic United - I picked it back up off the ground after its former owner simply abandoned it - and it was shut down for months on end. I've gone to extreme lengths to ensure that as much of CU's history from that time is preserved - even spending a hefty amount of money to acquire the original chaoticunited.com domain name - in part so that I could ensure that everything that the Wayback Machine had saved could be visible again. I've even spent a fair amount of time to migrate what few forum threads were saved on the Wayback Machine into the current forums - which was an entirely manual procedure.
Oh yeah - and I'm also a big fan of the Halo franchise. My online identity is even built around that - though nowadays I don't play it much, just because I usually prefer to be working on something instead.
